A long, yet very interesting POst.... [11 Jan 2002|05:29pm] [ mood | lethargic ] [ music | Incubus 'Warning' ] Wow! Today was umm ... eventful I guess I could say. We finally got to go to see the Cadavers (for those of you who don't know they are dissected human being) It wasn't as great as I was hoping, there was only 2 bodies. But It was real cool. Quite the experience. There was 3 sessions when we went in... Session #1- THE BODY.. Okay here there was an 82 year old woman's body + like it was crazy, you get to touch everything~ So like the guy is taking her about layer + piece by piece lol. He pulls back the skin to show the fat + muscle, he took out the lungs + heart, the intestine was so gross looking, it looked like a bunch of deflated balloons. As we all passed around her body parts (lol) We found out the lady smoked + drank + had all these tumors + stuff, she was all jacked up lol. It was sooo funny, they were showing us these gall stones + kidney stones + breast implants they find in people exc. HERE'S THE BEST PART!!... He showed us a Penile implant a guy had lol. + I always though guys get them to make their penis larger, but no... lol This guy had one because he had nerve problems lol + He couldn't have an erection. So like you turn on the switch + it goes on (up) + turn off the switch + it goes off (down). haha It was so hilarious. Session #2 The Spinal Cord.... Okay this one was kinda boring but yeah... First there was all these spinal cords + real skeletons of people it was interesting, + there was this eye ball!! OMG lol it was 2 eye balls attached like by the cord, + one was all just like the ball, but the other had the eye lid + lashes still on it!! It was freaky it looked like a person was looking @ you ::shudders:: Also @ this station, There was an old man on his stomach (he was 72) + like you could see his spinal cord + half his head was cut off (like on Hannibal) +it was just too weird, his face was cut off it looked so bizarre. Session #3 The Babies... This station was SO sad!! This station had a fetus from inside the embryo to 10 months old. Most of them died from there mother smoking crack, but also other reasons. There was this one, It was 2 months + It had its mouth open + tongue hanging out like it was screaming + it was like the size of your middle finger. It was awful! There was this other one I think 1 month + It was the size of a bumble bee (literally) + You could see EVERY single bone, each finger, each rib, each toe exc... They let us touch this one baby that was about 5 months along, When you touch it, it was like rubbery, plasticy, The bones had not yet formed so it was still cartilage so when you touched its head it was like squishy. Then they had these babies with trouble exc. like one had half its head missing cuz it never finished developing another was missing it's entire back side~ it was too much!! It was really really sad. But yeah, that's about the end.. what an interesting day... 2 + I ♥ Daniele
